Geoffrey Snagge

Geoffrey Snagge was a well known member of the Partnership working in the Department of Personnel, as Editor of the Gazette and Partners’ Counsellor.

He is, however, best known as the man who set up the Partnership’s Sailing Club in 1951 and a key supporter of the Partnership’s social and sporting activities. He escorted Spedan Lewis on one of the Partnership boats to scatter the ashes of Mrs Lewis, and later buried Spedan Lewis himself at sea.
